Timber Side Gates in Dublin, Supplied and Fitted from €340

The Side Gate Man makes and fits made-to-order pressure-treated timber side gates across North and South Dublin, from €340 supplied and fitted. We are based in Santry, and every estimate is free.

What's included in a new side gate

Every side gate is made to order from pressure-treated timber. The price includes delivery and fitting.

Each gate comes with:

  • New framing

  • A new doorstop

  • 5 support braces

  • 3 galvanised hinges

  • 1 galvanised pad bolt

All our gates are weatherproof, glued, nailed and screw fixed. Our standard gate is made from pressure-treated Scots pine. Pressure-treated gates last up to twice as long as untreated gates. Gates and shed doors are fitted by professional carpenters.

Upgrade locks are available, supplied and fitted: a thumb latch for €40, a Yale lock with spare keys for €85, or a double-sided lockable throw lock for €159.

A painter is available on request.

How much does a new timber side gate cost in Dublin?

A new pressure-treated timber side gate from The Side Gate Man costs from €340, supplied and fitted. That price is for an average gate of 3ft wide by 7ft high (36 inches wall to wall). Delivery and installation are included.

Wider, taller or custom gates are priced on a free estimate.

If you want us to take away your old gate and frame, we bring them to the recycling centre for a €25 fee.

Areas we cover

We are based in Santry, North Dublin. We fit side gates across:

  • North Dublin

  • South Dublin

  • The surrounding counties of Meath, Kildare and Wicklow, within about 30 miles of Santry

Extra fees apply for jobs further away.

Replacing a rotten side gate

If your side gate is rotten, we replace the gate and its framing with a new made-to-order pressure-treated timber gate. A new frame and doorstop come as standard, so the new gate isn't hung on old, rotting timber.

We can take the old gate and frame away to the recycling centre for €25.

To keep a new gate looking good for longer, we advise painting or staining it after it's fitted. That also helps keep the pressure treatment in the wood for longer.

A new side gate is usually fitted within a week to 10 days of your first call.

How to get a quote

  2. Call or WhatsApp 087 779 6630, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm.
